RAMONA + the RIOT – Blood and Sand

This song was written during covid, when a few young jazz musicians started digging deeper into lo-fi/ chill sounds .. wanting to create a toned down vibe for driving and feature a trumpet solo. This song is lyrically reflective of the classic cocktail ” Blood and Sand” and mentions each ingredient out of context- IE ” maraschino lights” this song was featured by NPR Pre release on Labor Day weekend in a national spot about musicians out of work on the holiday weekend due to the pandemic.
